At present, we have 47 members, all of whom tend towards the middle-aged and elderly. There is a strong feeling of family love and caring to all who worship with us, whether or not they are Church members.
Our Church
The History

In common with most of the villages surrounding Consett (then known as Berry Edge), Leadgate was developed by the Derwent Iron Company. Development of the village began around the year 1840. (The Derwent Iron Company later became Consett Iron Company or the C.I.C to the locals).
Welcome to the new look Leadgate Methodist Church website, we hope that you find it both interesting and useful.
If you enjoy your virtual visit, why not call and see the reality, we can virtually guarantee a better coffee and you will be really welcome...

Our Minister
I’ve always felt a calling to feed people. In my earlier life I trained and worked as a Hotel Chef and then as Superintendent in Durham Hospitals...
In my current vocation I hope to be able to continue to feed people with the word of God and bring them to a new life in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
